With over 30 years experience in conformation and obedience training, 15 years agility training and 10 years of competition and teaching, I have a wide range of experience to draw from. I have worked with a large variety of breeds from Bearded Collie, Collies, Golden Retrievers, and Labradors to smaller breeds like Papillons, American Eskimo Dogs, Shih Tuz and Terriers.
My accomplishments include over 50 titles on Skooter (my Bearded Collie who is 13 this year) in obedience. obedience rally and agility. The titles are under AKC, UKC, NADAC & ASCA. Cynder, my Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix,(who is retired) has received 29 titles in UKC, NADAC & ASCA. Chyna, my Shih Tuz,(which is 10 this year) has 15 titles in AKC, NADAC & ASCA. Cotton, my American Eskimo, who is 4 years old, got her AKC & ASCA novice jumpers titles first time out in 2008 (one show only) in 2009 she is doing really well in Agility (no more puppies for her). Champion Sinkonas War Bonnet (Archer) Smooth Collie received titles in AKC in conformation (Ch), rally and agility. I am currently working with my Papillon (Hershey) in Agility. I am also working my Papillons (Kandy) and my pups in Conformation. Hershey started her Agility this year (2009) in AKC this first time out with 2 days of double quailifing and she has titles in ASCA/NADAC too.
I believe in consistent training techniques including positive reinforcement to get a happy working dog. Using things I have learned over the years I have developed an effective training program that I share with my students. I am offering classes in the Deer Park area.
